Tom Buontempo

Tom Buontempo is President of Attention, one of the first-ever social media agencies and global content, social and influencer center of excellence for MDC Partners.  He’s spent nearly 15 years working with clients such as Intel, BMW, P&G, Goldman Sachs, LVMH and American Express to redefine the traditional notions of advertising and brand storytelling.  He co-founded KBS Content Labs, which housed the agency’s content practice, brand newsroom and content studio and built out their social media offering. Additionally, Tom was tasked with cross-agency integration, developing strategic partnerships and new capabilities across the network.  

At Attention, he’s spent the last several years transforming the agency’s offering to meet a modern client use case, including an evolved philosophy, new leadership team, expanded capabilities and agile operating model.  Most recently, as an expansion of their influencer practice, he concepted and launched Meat & Produce, a brand new 5,500 square foot Santa Monica test facility dedicated to helping raw creators build a business around their craft while developing more authentic content and experiences for the agency’s clients.  He was named one of Business Insider’s Most Creative People in Social Media and has spoken at events including SXSW and Advertising Week, while providing regular commentary about the ever-changing social/mobile landscape across the industry.
